You have probably heard the word “Nazi” before coming to Germany. The word itself has no meaning, but rather a strong moral condemnation related to the horrors during the Third Reich. However, you might have wondered: How was it possible that such a ruthless regime came to power?
In this tour, we will learn about Cologne’s history of the last 150 years: from the militaristic Prussians to the rise and consolidation of the Nazi State. We will see emblematic places and we will discover another side of one of the most traditional festivities of the city: the famous Cologne Carnival.
The tickets cost 19€ per person and are available until 2 hours before the start of the tour.
Meeting point: Alter Markt, next to the monument of Jan-von-Werth
